In Sushant Singh Rajput's case, people have been agitated ever since the drugs angle came out. Rhea has been sent for 14 days of judicial custody after the drugs angle came to the fore. Ankita Lokhande, Sushant's ex-girlfriend, had written a post on social media, through which she blamed and targeted Rhea Chakraborty for Sushant's condition.

After seeing Ankita's post, Rhea's friend Shibani Dandekar had a scathing comment. Ankita was shocked to see the comment and she again wrote a long note and replied to Shibani. After her long note, Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti advised her not to give any explanation. She wrote in a tweet: "There is no need to clean up my dear. We are here for a purpose and that is to know the truth. And we will stick to that in every situation." Shweta's husband Vishal Kirti wrote "Dear Ankita, don't take the taunts of the PR purchased seriously. You support mean a lot to the family. This is an organised attempt to attack those who are demanding justice for Sushant. As you've caught right, we just want to know the truth. Your courage is more vigour."

Not only that, but tv actor Rashmi Desai has also supported Ankita. She wrote on the Instagram story: "Dear Ankita, you are a big star and people have loved you in every avatar. As Ankita Lokhande, you don't have to prove anything to people who don't matter to you. Ankita loved Sushant when he wasn't even a star. So don't comment on their relationship. The case is now going the other way, so don't uproot the fabricated dead." Shibani is constantly been in support of Rhea.
