New Delhi: Ratan Tata, India's renowned industrialist and Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group, has been awarded Australia's highest civilian honour. Giving this information on Twitter, the Ambassador of Australia has said that Ratan Tata has been awarded the 'Order of Australia'. Australian Ambassador Barry O'Farrell wrote in his tweet that Ratan Tata has made an important contribution in India as well as in Australia. He is a veteran industrialist. 

Let me tell you, while sharing a post with several photos on Twitter, Farrell wrote that Ratan Tata is a veteran of business, industry and philanthropy in India. The widespread impact of his contribution has been seen in Australia as well. He further wrote that it is a great pleasure to honor the 'Order of Australia' for the long standing commitment of the relationship between Australia and India. 

Ratan Tata has been appointed as an honorary officer in Australia's General Division for Australia-India Bilateral Relations, Trade, Investment and Philanthropy. Rahul Ranjan, executive of Tata Power Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), has also uploaded pictures of this ceremony in his LinkedIn post.
