'Justice needs to prevail' says Ratan Tata condemns elephant killing in Kerala

New Delhi: There is anger among the people of the country over the murder of Elephant in Malappuram district of Kerala. Along with film actors, leaders, social workers, business people are also expressing anger. Tata Sons chairman Ratan Tata has also expressed displeasure and expressed grief over Elephant's murder.

Ratan Tata wrote on Twitter that, '"I am grieved and shocked to know that a group of people caused the death of an innocent, passive, pregnant elephant by feeding the elephant with a pineapple filled with firecrackers. Such criminal acts against innocent animals are no different than acts of meditated murder against other humans. Justice needs to prevail."

The local wildlife department is investigating the case of elephant murder. The forest department has also registered a case against unknown people. 

At the same time, efforts have been intensified to arrest the killers of pregnant elephants. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has also taken cognizance of the whole episode. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Thursday that the Modi government has shown seriousness over the killing of an elephant in Mallapuram in Kerala. We will leave no stone unturned to properly investigate and arrest the culprits. Feeding and killing crackers to elephants is not our culture.
