Bank fraud case: Ratul Puri sent to ED remand for six days in

New Delhi: A special court  sent Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath's nephew and businessman Ratul Puri  to Enforcement Directorate (ED) remand by for six days in connection with a Rs 354 crore bank fraud case.

As per the court order, the ED had sought custody of 14 days to "unearth the larger conspiracy, find out the money trail of the proceeds of crime, find out the involvement of other unknown accused persons and confront the accused with documents".

However, after considering all the facts and circumstances, the ED was granted six days remand of Ratul Puri. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled on August 26.

Earlier ED arrested Ratul Puri in connection with a Rs 354-crore bank fraud case filed by the Central Bank of India.
