Till date all of you must have heard or read about many temples. Yes, there are many temples around the world which are famous for their different things. Now today we are going to tell you about one such temple. Actually, the temple we are talking about is about 80 km away from Udaipur, the city of lakes. This temple is situated on the hills of Awargarh. Lord Shiva is seated in this temple. This ancient temple of Shivji is famous by the name of Kamal Nath Mahadev.

It is said that the prayer made in this temple are fulfilled soon. Well the special thing here is that Ravana is worshiped here before Shiva. Yes, you were surprised to hear that but it is true. It is said that if Lord Ravana is not worshiped first, then Lord Shiva does not fulfill his wishes. Let us also tell you that on one side of the temple there is a statue of Ravana and on the other side there is a statue of Mahadev.

If mythology is to be believed, 'Once Ravana was worshiping Lord Shiva, he used to offer 108 lotus flowers to Lord Shiva at one time. But once a flower fell short, he cut off his head and dedicated it to Shiva. Seeing this, Lord Shiva was pleased and he established the Amrit Kund in the navel of Ravana and with this he was given a boon of ten heads. Only after that the place was named Kamal Nath Mahadev.
