The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday directed Punjab not to take any coercive steps against Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, filmmaker Farah Khan, comedian Bharti Singh and screenplay writer Abbas Aziz Dalal in the FIR registered at Batala, Punjab. In fact, the FIR was filed for allegedly hurting religious sentiments in a web series called 'Backbenchers' issued through Flipkart.

Let us tell you all that on Thursday, high court judge Karamjit Singh gave this order while hearing a petition filed on behalf of Raveena Tandon and many others. It is being told that during the hearing of the case, the lawyer of the petitioner, Abhinav Sood, argued that there is no solid basis for this FIR. At the same time, it was also said that all the allegations made by the complainant are completely vague and it seems that this case has been filed only to gain fame and only to gain fame.

At the same time, while seeking quashing of the FIR, it has been argued on behalf of Raveena that the statements of the petitioners cannot be considered as defamatory or in any way hurtful to the sentiments of the Christian community. At the same time, in the argument, it has been said that the FIR is based entirely on non-existent facts. However, in this case, the party cited the example of many decisions of the Supreme Court.
