Mumbai: Since the World Cup, there has been an uproar over the appointment of an Indian coach. There is a lot of speculation about Ravi Shastri's re-coaching. Many world cricket legends have also applied for coaches. But in the meantime, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) appointed by the Committee of Administrators (COA) to select the head coach has not made it clear that it is not in favor of selecting any foreigner for the post. The re-appointment of Ravi Shastri is being considered as a fix.

The COA has appointed a three-member CAC to appoint a coach, including former captains Kapil Dev, Ansuman Gaikwad, and Shanta Rangaswamy. A CAC member said the team under Shastri's supervision is doing well. It is almost certain that Shastri will once again train the team overseen by Virat Kohli, who was appointed a captain for the three formats. The CAC member said, "We are not in favor of appointing a foreign coach.

If someone like Gary Kirsten had applied for the post, then we could have thought about it. But since the Indian coach has always been our priority. So while the team is doing well under the supervision of the Indian head coach, why think about the change. In this situation, there is every possibility that Shastri will be re-assigned as a coach. A senior BCCI official had also recently said that Shastri must continue as a coach as the team is still undergoing a transformation.
