New Delhi: Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri will not be able to join the team in the fifth and final Test against England in Manchester as he will remain quarantined for 14 days and will be able to come out only after two corona negative reports. The fifth Test between India and England is scheduled to be played from September 10 to 14. Talking to the media, sources with knowledge of the developments said shastri will be in warranty for 14 days and will need two negative reports before coming out of the warranty.

The source said, "Unfortunately Shastri will be in quarantine for 14 days and will have to take two negative tests before coming out of quarantine. He will not be in the Indian dressing room till then. Just half an hour before the start of the fourth day's play", BCCI said his medical team had carefully separated Ravi Shastri (head coach), Bharat Arun (bowling coach), R Sridhar (fielding coach) and Nitin Patel (physiotherapist).

The rest of the Indian team was tested twice after Shastri tested positive for lateral flow test on Saturday evening - one on Saturday night and the other on Sunday morning. No player was allowed to play a Test on the fourth day if he was not infected.
