Chennai: Indian Cricket Team bowler Ravichandran Ashwin is rested from the T20 international 2017 series by Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI), he returned to his home place on Monday. When he landed Chennai airport, due to protests on road, he picked train for 'Mambalam'(Ashwin's home town), rather than moving through his own car.

Protesters were protesting on the roads putting common roadways to halt. During this time, metro rail was the only safe way for traveling for common man as well as celebrities.

Ashwin in his tweet, thanked airport police for helping him to reach metro station safely. Ashwin in his tweet said that, "Such situations dictate usage of the public transport, thank the airport police for taking me through safely."
