New Delhi: Journalist Ravish Kumar has resigned from the channel after the Adani Group took control of the holding company of media house NDTV. His resignation has also come into force with immediate effect. Ravish Kumar has anchored many programs on NDTV's Hindi News Channels like 'Hum Log', 'Ravish Ki Report', 'Des Ki Baat' and 'Prime Time.' However, he has been accused of doing one-sided journalism and being a supporter of the Tukde Tukde gang.
According to the report, NDTV has said in an internal mail sent to its employees that, 'Very few journalists have made as much impact on the public as Ravish Kumar. The crowd that gathers wherever he goes reflects the thinking of the people regarding Ravish. Ravish has won many prestigious awards from India to the world level. He has been an integral part of NDTV for decades. His contribution has been stupendous. He will be successful in the new beginning.'
Let us inform you that NDTV owner and founder Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy also resigned on Tuesday (29 November 2022) as directors of RRPR Holding Pvt Ltd (RRPRH). Information in this regard was given in a regulatory filing made with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Soon after the resignation of Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, three new appointments have been made to the company's board. These include the names of Adani Group CEO Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Puglia, and Senthil Sinnaiah Chengalvarayan.
