The issue of triple talaq echoed again in Parliament, Ravi Shankar Prasad present the bill

New Delhi: Three divorce bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha. Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad presented the bill before the House in the Modi government 2.0. Earlier, both the Houses of Parliament also raised the issue of death of children due to bright fever in Bihar. In the Lok Sabha, MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary from the Congress party raised the issue of death of children in response to which Smriti Irani said, "I am a mother and I understand how tragic the death of children is."

On the other hand, introducing the triple talaq bill, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The law will protect the rights of Muslim women. Opposing the bill, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor from Thiruvananthapuram said that instead of targeting one community, a common law should be enacted in which all those who do so can come under its purview. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi opposed the triple talaq bill and said it was a violation of Article 14 and 15.

Owaisi went on to say, "If you love Muslim women so much, why don't you love the women of Kerala?" What is your stand on the Sabarimala Temple?  On the other hand, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told those who opposed the triple talaq bill that the people of the country have chosen us to make laws. Please don't make the House a court.
