Bihar Sharif: Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who reached Bihar has given a statement on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Citizenship Register (NRC). He said that the Citizenship Amendment Act does not apply to any caste community living in India, including Muslims. This law neither takes away nor confers citizenship of any Indian.

He directly stated that the Act is Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian, and Parsi in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. Those who are tortured because of their religion, it gives them a chance to become citizens of India. Islam is the national religion of those Islamic countries. There is no national religion in India. All are equal in the constitution of our country. We cannot deny that Hindu women are tortured in neighboring countries. They are being forcibly converted to marriage. Millions of Hindu persecuted families have come to India.

He said that our government has not brought this act, this law was introduced by the UPA government. People are misleading people by giving false information inspired by maliciousness. While this law does not apply to any Indian, then why is there a dharna demonstration for it, which is being done in pure politics.
