Legend of Sunday fast - In ancient times there used to be an old lady. She used to fast on Sunday regularly. Waking up before sunrise on Sunday, the old lady retired from the bath and cleaned the courtyard by dung, followed by worshiping the Sun God, listening to the Sunday fast and offering food to the Sun God at one time during the day. Due to the grace of the Sun God, the old lady did not have any kind of worry and pain. Gradually, his house was being filled with money. Seeing that old lady happy, her neighbor started burning with her. The old lady did not keep any cow. So she used to bring cow dung tied to her neighborhood courtyard. Pondershan tied his cow indoors after thinking about it. Due to non-availability of cow dung on Sunday, the old lady could not leap her courtyard. Due to not being able to leap the courtyard, the old lady did not enjoy the sun god and did not eat herself that day. At sunset, the old lady went hungry and thirsty. Before the sunrise in the morning, the old woman's eyes opened and she was surprised to see the beautiful cow and calf in the courtyard of her house. By tying the cow in the courtyard, he quickly brought it to feed.

When the neighbor saw the beautiful cow and calf tied in the old lady's courtyard, she started burning more than that. Then the cow dung gold. On seeing the dung, the neighbor's eyes burst. After not getting the old lady around, the neighbor immediately picked up the cow dung and took it to her house and kept her cow dung there. The cow used to do gold dung every day before sunrise and before the old lady got up, the neighbor used to take that dung. For a long time, the old lady did not know anything about the gold dung. The old lady kept fasting on Lord Suryadev every Sunday and listening to the story. But when the Sun God came to know about the cleverness of the neighborhood, he fired a strong thunderstorm. Seeing the outbreak of the storm, the old lady tied the cow indoors. Waking up in the morning, the old lady saw the dung of gold, she was very surprised. After that day the old lady started tying the cow indoors. The old lady became very rich with gold dung in a few days. Due to the richness of the old lady, the neighborhood became badly burnt to ashes and she persuaded her husband and sent him to the king of the city. The king was very happy to see the beautiful cow. When the king saw the gold dung in the morning, he was not surprised. On the other hand, there was a lot of compassion on seeing a sun-hungry thirsty old lady praying like this.

The same night the Sun God said to the king in a dream, Rajan, return the old cow and the calf immediately, otherwise you will have a mountain of plagues. Your castle will be destroyed. The king, frightened badly by the dream of the Sun God, returned the cow and the calf to the old lady as soon as he woke up in the morning. The king gave a lot of money and apologized to the old lady for his mistake. The king punished Padosan and her husband for their wickedness. Then the king announced in the whole state that all men and women should fast on Sunday. By fasting on Sunday, the houses of all the people were filled with wealth, there was prosperity in the state. Women and men started living a happy life and the physical sufferings of all the people also went away.
