New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das addressed the seventh SBI Banking and Economics Conclave organized today. Celebrities related to the financial world are participating in this conference organized digitally. The two-day conclave began on Friday and today the RBI governor addressed the event. This time 'Corona's impact on business and economy' is the theme of the conference.

The RBI governor said, "Coronavirus is the worst health and economic crisis in the last 100 years, which has had a very negative impact on production and jobs. It has also reduced the movement of the existing system, labour and capital all over the world. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has done many things to help the economy in the current crisis, to preserve our economic system."

Shaktikanta Das said that "Development is the first priority for RBI, financial stability is equally important. The RBI has strengthened its offsite monitoring system to identify emerging threats." Shaktikanta Das said that "The global pandemic coronavirus will lead to increased NPAs and erosion of capital. "
