MUMBAI: At the  FE Modern BFSI Summit in Mumbai, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das delivered the inaugural address, setting the stage for a series of insightful discussions on the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector. The address took place at 10:30 AM and was introduced by Anant Goenka, Executive Director of The Indian Express Group.

The summit highlighted the significant rise of fintech and the innovations transforming the sector. A notable panel discussion, moderated by Alpesh Shah, MD & Senior Partner at BCG, included key industry figures such as Rajesh Bansal, CEO of the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub; Sabyasachi Goswami, CEO of Perfios; Shashank Kumar, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Razorpay; and Anuradha Ramachandran, Managing Partner at TVS Capital.

The event featured prominent voices from India's private sector. Ajay Piramal, Chairman of Piramal Group, addressed the audience on navigating the opportunities and challenges within an ever-evolving industry. Dilip Asbe, CEO of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), known for its UPI system, also shared his perspectives.

Insights were provided by Dinesh Kumar Khara, Chairman of State Bank of India; Keki Mistry, Non-Executive Director at HDFC Bank; Zarin Daruwala, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank India; and V Vaidyanathan, MD and CEO of IDFC First Bank. They discussed various factors shaping the future of the sector.

A special keynote address was delivered by Debasish Panda, Chairman of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (Irdai), focusing on the theme ‘Insurance for All by 2047’, exploring potential changes in the Indian insurance landscape.
