The Monetary Policy Committee meeting of the RBI will conclude and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das will make the announcement on Thursday, 6 April, 2023.

The decision to raise the repo rate, the reverser repo rate, and other pertinent decisions will be included in the monetary policy statement, which will be delivered at 10 am on the same day. During the presentation, the RBI governor is also anticipated to talk about the nation's and the world's current economic conditions.

The governor will next have a press conference that will be shown on television at 12 o'clock.

The RBI is in charge of making sure that the retail inflation rate stays within the range of 4% with a +/- 2% cushion.

However, starting in January 2022, the inflation rate has exceeded 6% for three straight quarters. The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has been gathered to discuss this problem. The committee is made up of three RBI employees and three outsiders who were chosen by the federal government.
