RBI names Neeraj Nigam as its  Executive Director

MUMBAI: According to a statement issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday, April 3,  Neeraj Nigam has been appointed Executive Director of the central Bank, with immediate effect.

Nigam will be in charge of managing a number of divisions in his new position, including Consumer Education and Protection, Financial Inclusion and Development, Legal, and Secretary.

Before his promotion to Executive Director, Nigam served as the head of the Bhopal Regional Office for the RBI.

Neeraj Nigam has more than three decades of experience working in the RBI's Regulation and Supervision, Human Resource Management, Premises, Currency Management, and Bank Accounts divisions. He has held positions at the RBI's Central Office and Regional Offices.

Nigam has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Barkatullah University in Bhopal in addition to his wealth of expertise.

Also, he holds the title of Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).

As Executive Director, Neeraj Nigam will look after Consumer Education and Protection Department, Financial Inclusion and Development Department, Legal Department and Secretary’s Department.
