Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a thrilling match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB posted 161 for 7. In reply, CSK were down and out for the most part of their chase but MS Dhoni (84 not out) almost pulled it off for them before falling short on the last delivery to lose a thrilling clash by just one run.

With win against Chennai, RCB managed to attain their third win of the ongoing season -- second on the trot -- and remain alive in the competition. Kohli, who is known to show off his emotions on the field, was the first to admit that Dhoni's unbelievable hitting, in the end, gave a massive scare to his camp before the last-ball twist.

In the post-match presentation, Kohli said, "A whole lot of emotion. We were outstanding with the ball until the 19th over mark. On the last ball, that was the last thing I would've expected to happen. Feels good to win a game by a small margin. MS did what he does best and he gave us all a massive scare."

The RCB Skipper further added,  "We thought their bowlers didn't make us play enough on the front foot. Looking in hindsight, you could say Moeen (who came at No. 6) could've come higher. Those things sometimes they come your way and sometimes they don't.”

Captain backed his pacers who remained calm despite playing against the defending champions with an experienced finisher like Dhoni in the middle  He said, "They showed a lot of composure playing against a side like CSK. Especially (Navdeep) Saini. He's come along well for the team. We have said a lot of things in the nine games. In T20 cricket, you are going to be put under the pump. It's how well you bounce back that matters."
