New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is going to flag off 8 trains to connect the Statue of Unity, Kevadia, to different parts of the country through video conferencing today.  With this, Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate various railway projects in Gujarat today. Pm Narendra Modi is going to flag off 8 trains today with the aim of facilitating the movement of people from different parts of the country to the Statue of Unity at Kevadia in Gujarat. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), these trains are going to connect include Kevadiya-Varanasi Mahamana Express, Dadar-Kevadiya Express, Ahmedabad-Kevadiya Janshatabdi Express, Nizamuddin-Kevadia Sampark Kranti Express, Kevadia-Rewa Express, Chennai-Kevadia Express, Pratapnagar-Kevadia MEMU train, Kevadiya-Pratapnagar MEMU train.

Equipped with modern passenger amenities: Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal are also likely to attend the inauguration of these railway-related schemes in Gujarat. The PMO said that these railway stations have been equipped with local features and modern passenger amenities. Kevadia is the first station in the country to have a certificate of green building. Continuing this, the PMO said, "These projects are going to speed up development works in the nearby tribal area. Connectivity can be extended to important religious and ancient pilgrimage centers located on the banks of river Narmada. Domestic and international tourism will be promoted and will be crucial for the overall socio-economic development of the region. In addition, it will also help in the development of new jobs and business opportunities."
