Today in the world, there is hardly anyone who doesn't know Mother Teresa in the Indian subcontinent. On August 26, 1910, Mother Teresa, born in the city of Skopje, the capital of Macedonia, is still alive among people as a 'Missionaries of Charity' organization. Today, not only the whole country but the world is remembering Mother Teresa 108th birth anniversary. 

Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic priest and Christian missionary. She devoted his life and affection to poor and love for the patients suffering from incurable diseases. Missionaries of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa, is active in 123 countries today, there are a total of 4,500 sisters in it. 

Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Mother Teresa has also been nominated from Bharat Ratna, Templeton Prize, Order of Merit and Padma Shri. Subsequently, in December 2015, she was given the title of the saint by the Francis of the Roman Catholic Church. Her rituals of becoming a saint were on September 4, 2016.

Mother Teresa has citizenship of 5 countries at different times. They include Ottoman, Serbia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and India. Mother Teresa's childhood name was Aneze Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, which means little flower.

Mother Teresa started work in Calcutta in 1948 and started wearing white sari with the blue border instead of nun's garment. Mother Teresa used to say that the helping hands are more sacred than the praying lips.
