Mumbai: Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra are increasing day by day. There is also a serious shortage of medical oxygen. Now, amidst all this, state health minister Rajesh Tope has made a statement. In a statement made yesterday, Thursday, he said, "The state government is also ready to touch the centre's feet if necessary supply of life-saving gas given. Talking to reporters, he also said, "The state government is ready to do everything to save the lives of the people"

He further said, "The right to distribute oxygen among states is in the hands of the Central Government. They should exercise their rights and ensure that Maharashtra gets more oxygen". At the same time, he added, "The Centre should ensure that tankers carrying oxygen have a green corridor so that they can reach the destination quickly. I have been repeatedly requesting the Centre".

Talking about the corona havoc in Maharashtra, 67,13 new cases of corona infection have been reported last Thursday. Meanwhile, 568 people are said to have died from Covid-19. Recently, a health department official has made a statement under which a total of 40 lakh 94,840 people have been confirmed infected in the state so far while a total of 62,479 people have died due to infection.
