New Delhi: Realme has introduced its new 4G smartphone Realme C55 in India. A top-focused "mini capsule" for quick access to notifications and updates, a 90Hz LCD display, 64MP main camera, up to 1TB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging are included with the phone.

The base 4GB/64GB configuration of the device is priced at Rs. 10,999. Its sale will start from 28 March. Realme C55 is a new entrant in India's crowded budget smartphone market. It is marketed in the country to consumers who are on a tight budget and want a phone with fashionable looks, a screen with a high refresh rate, multiple cameras, lots of storage, and a powerful battery.

The device's "mini capsule" function is the cherry on top for Android users who wanted an experience similar to Apple's "Dynamic Island."

The Realme C55 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a top-centred punch-hole cutout. The device flaunts a 6.72-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) IPS-level LCD panel with 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 680 nits peak brightness. Its thickness is 7.89mm and weight is 189.5g. The phone is available in Sunshower and Rainy Night colours.

The Realme C55 sports a 64MP main camera with LED flash and a 2MP depth sensor at the back. The phone includes an 8MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.

The MediaTek Helio G88 processor, along with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, powers the Realme C55. The device runs Realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13 and houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. The 4G phone has dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and Type-C port for connectivity.

Realme C55 is priced at Rs. 10,999 for Rs. 11,999, and Rs. 13,999, respectively, depending on whether it has 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, or 8GB/128GB of storage. The device will be available for sale from March 28 on Realme's official store and Flipkart.
