Sleeping with your hair up causes hair loss

We generally sleep with our hairs up to avoid the heat. But allow us to tell you that it could be seriously damaging your hair. This is the also the reason why your hair looks unhealthy. So if you are doing so then stop it from today.

If having your hair down at night irritates you like crazy, chances are you pile it up on top of your head. This can actually cause a hair loss condition known as traction alopecia. Traction alopecia doesn't cause all your hair to fall out, but it can result in hair loss and significant thinning. It happens especially during prolonged periods. It’s triggered by the constant tugging and pulling when your hair is tied too tight. It causes your hair follicles to become inflamed, damaging them so that they’re unable to complete their growth cycle. As well as pulling your hair, friction between your hair tie and the pillow will also cause your hair particles to weaken, and split ends to emerge mid-length, resulting in even more damage.

To avoid this try out a loose ponytail or open hairs while sleeping. Or if you want to put them in a bun then try to tie them with a loose cloth or hairband. It will not affect your hair fossils to break.
