This man gets long standing ovation for R Madhavan's Rocketry

R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been India's official selection for its world premiere at the 75th edition of the prestigious Cannes Movie Festival. In the midst of 9 pm prime time at the prestigious Palais des Festivals, R Madhavan and ISRO's genius and space scientist, Nambi Narayanan, walked the red carpet at the Cannes Movie Festival with much enthusiasm.

And it's no surprise that the movie immediately brought the audience to the edge of their seats. Such a grand world premiere was that Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Top Gun: Maverick has become the most talked-about movie at the festival! It's not just that! The biographical drama based on the life and time of Nambi Narayanan also got a standing ovation from the Flower House at the Palace Des Festival for a full ten minutes. From minister Anurag Thakur to music legend AR Rahman, everyone was trying to catch every part of the film.  

Reacting to the spectacular reception the movie received at the Cannes Film Festival, actor-turned-director R Madhavan said, "I am overwhelmed and excited. This is a real moment for all of us at Team Rocketry! Humbled and grateful to God's grace.'' Thank you for all the love and support. "It has now been released on July 1.  

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is the directorial debut of R. Madhavan. Staged on a huge scale, the film has been shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia and Serbia. With a powerful ensemble cast of acclaimed international actors like Phyllis Logan, Vincent Rita and Ron Donchi and superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya is their guest appearance, the movie is slated to release in six languages across the world including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada on July 1, 2022. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is produced by Triocular Films, Varghese Mulan Pictures and 27 Investments.
