Lucknow: The youth who have taken up nursing courses in Uttar Pradesh are soon going to get an opportunity to get employment in government hospitals. Filling up of vacant posts of staff nurses in hospitals will also provide relief to the patients. The recruitment to 1729 vacant posts of Staff Nurses in UP will start soon, the manifesto of which will also be released soon. The staff nurse will be admitted to the Department of Medicine and Health, Medical Education, Training and King George's Medical University (KGMU).

Last year, the process of recruitment started for a total of 4743 posts, but only 3014 posts were filled. The special thing is that these posts fell vacant due to the lack of suitable candidates. Now soon the recruitment of vacant posts will be started by issuing an advertisement. Hospitals are still struggling with shortage of doctors as well as paramedical staff. Last year, around 1.02 lakh candidates applied for recruitment to 4743 posts of Staff Nurse in UP. On October 03, 2021, 83,564 candidates appeared in the written examination. It is worth mentioning that a minimum of 40 marks was mandatory to pass the exam. After the examination, only 3014 eligible candidates could be found and the remaining posts remained vacant. 

Filling up the vacant posts of staff nurses in the hospitals will provide relief to the patients who were facing a shortage of nursing staff in government hospitals. The government has planned to fill up these vacant posts soon and now the process of application for the same will start soon. Detailed notification for the same will be issued soon.
