New Delhi: The temperature once again broke the 5-year record in the capital on Sunday. People were unhurt by the 44 degree temperature and the heat of the loo. The orange alert was issued in Delhi on Sunday due to the increase in temperature.

According to the meteorological department, the mercury in Delhi climbed to 43.8 °c, which was 4 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 27.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of Delhi was 43 degree Celsius on June 9 in the year 2015. Delhi's maximum temperature is expected to climb to about 45 degrees Celsius on Monday.

With this, the Metrological department has declared a red alert in the heat wave warning. Hence, people will have to survive the heat. A yellow alert has been sounded in Delhi for the same on Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to be 43 and 42 degrees. These three days are likely to roar with gales at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. Delhi's temperature is expected to be around 43 degrees on Friday and Saturday as well. No alert has been issued for the moment.
