Within 60 days, Xiaomi Mi India sold 6 Lakh Redmi Note 3 devices in India. Xiaomi's Global VP, Hugo Barra took to facebook to announce the good news saying this is the company's "biggest record" yet. This handset was launched in India on 3rd March this year. In just a perios of 2 months, this is the largest number of handsets Xiaomi has sold.
When the phone was made available via Mi India website, the handset was sold out in a matter of minutes. Some important features that the cellphone offered were 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution, and pixel density of 403 ppi. It ran on Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset coupled with 2GB or 3GB RAM, depending on the storage. It had a 13MP rear camera along with PDAF Autofocus and a 5MP front-facing camera.
Hugo Barra's facebook post said “‘Lakh and load, Indian Mi fans!’- we have sold over 6 lakh of Redmi Note 3-our biggest record yet- all thanks to you. I cannot thank you enough for your overwhelming and continuous support. You guys are total rockstars".
