Amritsar: For Indian devotees, online registration for the holy Sikh gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan is starting from today. The Modi government has issued a special form for the Kartarpur visit. This form can be filled online. Visa will not be mandatory for Kartarpur Sahib Darshan, just having a passport will be enough.

It is noteworthy that Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara is located in Narowal district of Punjab province of Pakistan, which is located 4.5 kilometers from the border near Dera Baba Nanak. This Gurudwara is a very sacred place for Sikhs, because Guru Nanak Dev spent 18 years of his life here and also his last time. Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) President Govind Mohan has confirmed the completion of work from the ground zero at the construction site at Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of Punjab.

Mohan has told that, 'The 4.2 km long corridor will be constructed by 31 October, a week before the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism.' The LPAI president said that 5,000 devotees can visit the gurudwara daily and they will return the same day. Explaining this, Mohan said that pilgrims will have to visit Kartarpur pilgrimage on the day they cross the Indian border and return.
