Islamabad: Pakistan has failed to make it to the final of the T20 World Cup. Australia beats Pakistan in a thrilling match in the second semi-final on Thursday. Pakistan PM Imran Khan's statement also came to light after the semi-final defeat. Imran Khan said he knows how Babar Azam and his team may be feeling, but they should be proud of their game.

After Pakistan's defeat, Imran tweeted, 'For Babar Azam and his team... I know how you all must be feeling at the moment because I have faced such disappointments on the cricket field. But you should be proud of the kind of cricket you have played and the humility you have shown in your victory. Congratulations to Team Australia.'

Imran had said before the semi-final that if Pakistan reached the final, he will go to UAE to watch the final match. But that didn't happen and Australia beat Pakistan in the semi-finals. Imran Khan's ex-wife Reham Khan also tweeted immediately after Pakistan's setback in which she lashed out at Imran. Reham Khan wrote in a tweet that she also told Khan Saheb not to insist on watching the final.
