Now Reliance Jio has reached the villages. According to the numbers released by TRAI on Thursday, in June, Reliance Jio has overtaken Vodafone-Idea to take the number one position in rural India. In rural areas, Jio's consumer base reached over 16.63 million.

In June, Reliance Jio added more than 24 lakh 45 thousand customers to its network in rural areas. About 24 lakh Voda-Idea and Airtel lost 20 lakh, 68 thousand rural customers. At the end of June, 16 crores 60 lakh customers were connected with Voda-Idea and about 15 crores 10 lakh customers in Airtel in rural India. By the end of June, more than 39 crores 72 lakh customers were using Jio network.

Reliance Jio added about 4.5 million new customers in June compared to May. Only Reliance Jio was able to add new users during this period, other companies lost the highest amount of customers. The Voda Idea lost the most 48.21 lakh customers in June. After losing 17.44 lakh users, the government company BSNL is on the second spot. Airtel was at number three. In the same period, in June, more than 11 lakh 28 thousand users left Airtel's network. After Reliance Jio, Airtel was second with 31.66 crores and Voda-Idea was third with 30.51 crore customer in terms of total customer numbers. Simultaneously, the internet is being used more in villages.
