Cm K.S.R. has ordered the authorities to provide relief fund at home

There was a good news from the Telangana government. The state government has issued operational guidelines to provide assistance of Rs 10,000 each to the families who have recently been affected by the recent floods in the state's GHMC and other urban local bodies (ULB). The authorities were instructed to provide this amount at the house of the affected families and to get a receipt from the concerned family heads.

CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has already ordered the authorities to fund the relief. Cm wrote to pm seeking central assistance to provide assistance in the affected areas. CM DK Saibaba has ordered the release of Rs 550 crore to carry out relief work in flood affected areas in GHMC and other ULBs. Relief is distributed through the mobile application provided to the enumeration teams, which captures geo-coordinates and family details. Further more, the related details of the affected families, Aadhaar number and other details should be obtained through the mobile app.

As per the latest instructions, the GHMC Commissioner was directed to have a three-member inter-departmental team by region, a special officer, a GHMC/municipal officer and another officer from revenue or other departments. These teams will conduct calculations to distribute relief amount in all the households covering all eligible sections, including other areas that have been severely affected by slums and rains. Officials were advised to include public representatives during the distribution of relief materials and no counterfeits.
