Relief for SMC teachers, ban on new recruitment till court verdict

The threat of 2600 SMC teachers employed in state government schools has been averted. Along with this, the government has stayed till the court's decision on new recruitment in their place. Apart from this, while assuring the delegation of SMC teachers on Saturday to meet the demand for service extension, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj ordered Principal Secretary Education to stop the new recruitment for some time. For your information, let us know that while leading the delegation of teachers, Agriculture Minister Ramlal Markanda advocated extension of service to the teachers.

Apart from this, the Directorate of Elementary Education has issued orders to the district authorities to recruit new teachers in place of SMC in the letter issued for the recruitment of Shastri and language teachers. SMC teachers have raised the demand from the minister to stop the new recruitment till the court's verdict comes. With this, the Education Minister said that the new recruitments will be stopped till the court's decision. The next decision will be taken as per the court order.

Teachers will present their side in the court on Monday: Manoj- The president of SMC Teachers Association, Manoj Rongta said that the teachers will present their side in the High Court on Monday.
