Mumbai: All religious places in the country's state of Maharashtra will be opened from Monday. The Uddhav government has granted its permission. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has taken this decision on the night of Diwali, after which temples and other religious institutions will be opened in Maharashtra with conditions from November 16. But in view of COVID-19, religious institutions will have to follow strict guidelines.

Persons above 65 years of age, pregnant women, children below ten years and those who have any other disease are advised to stay home. In addition, within religious places, the distance between two persons has been asked to be at least six feet. It is mandatory to use a mask or cover the face.

Additionally, repeated hand washing with soap or handwash has also been recommended, even if the hands are not visibly dirty or the alcohol-sanitizer has also been asked to keep the hands clean. Rubbing both hands for 40-60 seconds while washing hands and sanitizing for at least 20 seconds. While coughing or sneezing, all people have to use handkerchiefs or tissue paper. Spitting in public places is punishable. All people have been asked to download the Arogya Setu app on their phones. Several important guidelines have also been issued for religious places.
