Vilasrao Deshmukh was an Indian politician and member of the Indian National Congress (INC) party. He served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, a state in India, for two terms, from 1999 to 2003 and from 2004 to 2008. He was born on May 26, 1945, in Babhalgaon, Maharashtra.

Vilasrao Deshmukh was known for his political career and contributions to Maharashtra's development. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he focused on various sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, education, and rural development.
