'Removal of Article 370 gave big blow to terrorists' - BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and Jammu and Kashmir in-charge Tarun Chugh unfurled the tricolor in Srinagar on August 5. Tarun Chugh also hit out at Mehbooba Mufti and the Abdullah family. He has termed August 5 as historic for Kashmir. Chugh accused the Mufti and Abdullah family of cultivating personal benefits in the name of Kashmir.

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said that the divisive and terrorist forces have suffered a major setback after the withdrawal of Section 370, which is a great achievement in itself. The failure of the terrorists has created an atmosphere of development and progress in the region, which has given new hope to the people. Tarun Chugh also called the gossip alliance a secret gang. Addressing party workers in Srinagar, Chugh said that after several decades, Pakistan-backed terrorism has come on the backfoot, people are breathing a sigh of relief.

He said that the place of anti-national sentiment among the people has been replaced by inclusive ideas of development and progress. Health and education infrastructure has improved a lot. On Thursday, PM Modi had said on August 5 that 2 years ago, on the same date, the provisions of Section 370 were abolished and every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir was made a full partner of every right and every facility.
