New Delhi:  Renault, a French automaker, is getting ready to unveil the Duster for 2024 very soon. A test mule for the upcoming SUV was recently spotted conducting trials, albeit in a camouflaged form.

Although the tough four-wheeler was instrumental in popularising the sub-4m segment in India, Hyundai CRETA eventually overtook it for the top spot.

In 2013, Renault debuted the capable Duster SUV in India. The sub-4m segment gained popularity on our shores solely as a result of the car. The market, however, quickly changed with the entry of competitors like the Hyundai CRETA and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.

The company is currently preparing the 2024 version of the formerly well-liked model in an effort to reclaim the top spot.

The Renault Duster will adopt the Dacia Bigster concept's exterior design language in 2024. It will have a long, chiselled bonnet, a wide grille with chrome accents, a windscreen that is raked, headlights that are squared off with Y-shaped DRLs, roof rails, ORVMs, and new alloy wheels. On the back end, options include a roof-mounted spoiler and LED taillights.

The five or seven-seater Renault Duster's cabin is anticipated to be roomy and feature ambient lighting, an automatic climate control system, a wireless charger, a sunroof, and a multifunctional steering wheel in 2024. The updated SUV will feature a modern large touchscreen infotainment system with the newest connectivity features, as well as a digital instrument cluster. Multiple airbags and ADAS features should be used to ensure the safety of passengers.

The Duster model's technical specifications have not yet been released by Renault. However, we anticipate that the tough SUV will be propelled by either a fuel-efficient diesel engine or a turbo-petrol engine. A mild hybrid system should be connected to both mills.

Renault is currently testing the brand-new Duster, but we anticipate seeing the finished, production-ready model soon. Early in 2024, the SUV should most likely make a comeback in the Indian market.

We anticipate that the tough four-wheeler will cost more than the now-discontinued model, which was available here in our country for a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
