Renault Kwid and Maruti Alto K10 are two major cars in the entry level segment in India. If you are thinking of buying a car in a budget of Rs 5 lakh, then both these cars can be a good option for you. Let's know the difference between the two cars and which car can be better for you.

Price and Variants: The new Renault Kwid starts at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 starts at Rs 3.99 lakh. 

Renault Kwid comes in five variants: RXE, RXL, RXL (O), RXT and Climber. Maruti Alto K10 is available in Standard, LXI, VXI and VXI+ variants. It is worth noting that the CNG engine of Alto K10 is available only in VXi variant.

Difference in features: In Maruti Alto K10, you will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Apart from this, it has features like keyless entry, digitized instrument cluster, and steering-mounted controls. In terms of safety, it also has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. Renault Kwid gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It includes four-way adjustable driver seat, 14-inch wheels, keyless entry, manual AC, and electric ORVMs. In terms of safety, it has ESP, HSA, TCS, TPMS, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.

Powertrain and engine: Renault Kwid gets a 1 liter, three cylinder petrol engine, which generates 67 bhp of power and 91 Nm of torque. Maruti Alto K10 has an engine that generates 65 bhp of power and 89 Nm of torque. Alto K10 gets both petrol and CNG fuel options, while Kwid does not get a CNG engine.

Mileage: The petrol variant of Maruti Alto K10 gives a mileage of about 24.39 kilometers per liter, and with the CNG engine this car gives a mileage of 33 kilometers per kilogram. The mileage of Renault Kwid is between 20-22 kilometers per liter.
