Renault has introduced 25 new features in its newest offering rechristened as the Lodgy ‘World Edition’.

The new eight-seat feature loaded variants are available in 85PS priced at Rs 9.74 lakh and 110PS priced at Rs 10.40 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

The changes are restricted to cosmetic upgrades, while mechanically it continues to be powered by the existing engine options.

The new variants are available in shades of - fiery red, royal orchid, pearl white and moonlight silver.

“We will continue to engage customers with this segment defining product and Lodgy will play a significant role in our growth plans in India, along with the other volume drivers,” he added.

Renault will offer the Lodgy World Edition in four colours, namely, Fiery Red, Royal Orchid, Pearl White, and Moonlight Silver.

The interior cabin space remains unchanged. It gets aesthetic additions such as orange highlights on the steering wheel, instrument cluster and the air-con vents.

The same is also seen on the front and rear passenger seats as well. We believe the intention of offering the interiors with orange highlights was to make the cabin look more sporty however it might not be a uniform choice when it comes to customer preference.

The only other car to have a similar treatment is the Hyundai i20 Active. Powering Renault’s MPV is a 1.5-litre dCi diesel motor available in two states of tunes.

The lower spec variant makes 85PS at 3,750rpm and generates 200Nm at 1,900 rpm whereas the higher spec variant makes 110PS at 4,000rpm and makes 245Nm at 1,750rpm.

The 85PS motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the 110PS uses a 6-speed manual transmission.
