Almost all automakers production companies in the world are working on electric vehicles. But renowned car maker Renault has planned to launch the electric version of Kwid in China.
According to the Nissan CEO, Hiroto Saikawa, "The EV is targeted at metro cities such as Beijing and Shanghai and likely to be launched by 2018. Renault and Nissan's partner in China, Dongfeng Motor will manufacture the EV to cut costs. "
As per the reports, "Mitsubishi could also get access to the platform and it could develop its version. The Chinese government has been offering incentives on electric vehicles, and in future, every automaker should produce EVs as part of its product portfolio."
