Last month, Renault lifted the curtain from its compact MPV Triber. Now the wait for this small 7-seater car is about to end. According to media reports, the Renault Triber will be launched in India in August. Its starting price can be kept at around Rs 5.3 lakh. The Triber is built on the modified platform of the company's small car Kwid. The car remains a topic of discussion in the Indian market. The front features a chrome finish 3-slate grille with the Renault logo. The Triber features wraparound headlamps, dual tone front bumper with silver plate, DRL, black plastic cladding on the doors around the veal arc, black-out B and C-piers and a step-roof with roof rails. The rear side is a dual tone bumper with wraparound taillights and silver inserts.

The 33-inch base and mid-variants will have 14-inch steel wheels and 15-inch alloy wheels in top variants. In terms of interior, the Triber has a dual-tone dashboard. The compact MPV features a 3-spoke steering veal and a digital instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch screen.

Apple can play and Android Auto has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Triber also has facilities like a cooled central storage area with cup holders, cooled glove box and AC vents for second-third line passengers.

For your information, the Renault Triber has 7 seats in three lines. Third-line seats can be removed as needed and used to store luggage. On the other hand, the second line seats are sliding, which will make it easier for seating and landing in third line seats. The 7-seater version has a 625-litre boot space in the 34-litre and third-line seats when the 34-litre seat is removed.

Smaller than 4 metres, the compact MPV features safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and speed warning system in all variants. The top variants also feature two more airbags, four airbags and a reverse camera. The Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The engine produces 71bhp at 6250 rpm and 96Nm of peak torque at 3500 rpm. It comes with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic gearbox.
