For the last few years, India has been a witness to the rise of numerous talented people working across a plethora of sectors. However, the question which needs to be asked is whether all of them have made it big in life. Well, certainly not! Only a few of them have been rare gems who have totally stunned people with the kind of momentum and energy they have created around them through their sheer hard work, turning into true-blue professionals inducing more hope and positivity. The world of music is a world of its own, which has given birth to innumerable talented beings in the form of singers, songwriters, rappers, DJs, artists, and more. One such exceptional name is DJ Annsh, who through his groovy remixes has swayed the people.

The virtuoso has performed in various genres including Bollywood, Punjabi, Hip Hop, and commercial House music. DJ Annsh, talking about his journey and the transformation of the music industry, answers a few questions posed to him.

Q1) What led you to pursue your career in the music industry as a DJ?

Since childhood, I have had a passion and an inclination toward music. I have always seen people partying and celebrating, enjoying their happiness and this inspired me to pursue my career as a Disc Jockey. I have spent most of the time listening to songs and expanding my music collection. Making people groove to your tunes and spreading happiness is something I admired and always dreamt of. This is what made me feel that I should be a DJ.

Q2) How did you start your journey as a Disc Jockey?

I started my musical career in my home city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. My journey started by hosting shows featuring self-created remixes and albums containing EDM music every weekend night. Slowly, I got a warm response from the crowds as they loved my groovy remixes and this boosted my confidence. Later, I started playing at various posh nightclubs across several cities in India like Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This enhanced my skills to play the deck.

Q3) What are the achievements that make you proud of your decision to enter the music industry?

Well, in all humility, I have had the opportunity to play in numerous concerts and I believe a lot more is to be achieved ahead in the future. The thing that makes me happy is that I have had the opportunity to complete a multi-city tour in five clubs over ten days. The clubs were Zouk Club in Raipur, Sheesha Lounge in Bhopal, Bottle Sportsbar in Bhubaneswar, Four More Shots in Indore, and Drinx exchange in Indore. Apart from this, I also successfully hosted a private event in Bangalore.

Q4) Take us through some of your hits that emerged as a chartbuster and made people go all gaga?

Fortunately, in this short span of time, I have been successful in creating some of the most trendiest remixes that made people go crazy. Le Gayi Le GayivsPhut Hon Mashup, DJ AnnshKarGayiChull Remix, DJ Annsh SadiGaliMashup, DJ AnnshSoorajDoobaHaivs Something Just Like This Mashup are few of my hits that received tremendous recognition and support from the music lovers. From releasing my EDM music album ‘Invaders’ to having my self-created remixes and reprises exclusively featured on Radio Mirchi's 98.3 show (Club Mirchi), the journey has been great for me.

Q5) What is your success mantra and is there any specific advice you would like to share with the budding DJs?

For me, there is nothing called a ‘Success Mantra’. Sheer Hard Work, Constituency, Passion, and Zeal for Learning are a few virtues that are important in life if you want to make it big in this competitive landscape. A piece of advice that I would like to give to budding DJs is that understanding and having a sense of understanding of music, beats, and tunes will further help you elevate your skills. Lastly, interacting with the audience is important so that you can understand the vibe and the mood of the crowd and play the song accordingly.
