Kolkata: The owner and employees of a well-known restaurant in West Bengal's capital Kolkata's Hatibagan have been accused of allegedly thrashing two youths while having food. The restaurant's manager and waiter allegedly threw a youth on the road and attacked him on the head. He has got many stitches on his head. However, the restaurant is denying all these allegations.
However, according to police sources, this dispute started over drinking alcohol. The restaurant staff has claimed that, 'The four youths reached the family restaurant around 11 pm and ordered food, they had taken the liquor in a plastic bottle, when the restaurant staff tried to stop them from drinking alcohol. If he did, he became aggressive.
The youth's family claimed that the restaurant's waiters refused to give him some onions and also misbehaved with him. It is alleged that he was assaulted and then pushed outside and the shutter was dropped. The restaurant employees say that the youths beat them up in a state of intoxication. At the same time, the police has started investigation after seeing the CCTV footage in this case.
