New Delhi: The cultural ministry has restructured the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) Society. Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Karan Singh and Jairam Ramesh have been dropped from the Nehru Museum Society. In place of Congress leaders, BJP leader Anirban Ganguly, lyricist Prasoon Joshi and journalist Rajat Sharma have been included in it. The president of this society is PM Narendra Modi.
The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library was built in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru, the country's first PM. The vice president of this society is Rajnath Singh, while Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar are members of the society. After the notification issued from the Ministry of Culture on November 5, there can be a fierce political battle between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on this issue.
Let us tell you that PM Narendra Modi himself is the Chief of the Nehru Memorial and Museum Library Society. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is the vice president of this society while Prakash Javadekar Nirmala Sitharaman is included as a member of it. In recent years, BJP has not only questioned Nehru and his legacy on different issues but has also been an attacker.
