'Report on agricultural laws to be made public,' Anil Ghanwat writes to CJI

New Delhi: Anil Ghanwat, a member of the Supreme Court's committee on three agricultural laws, has written to Chief Justice (CJI) NV Ramana. Anil Ghanwat in his letter has demanded that the report submitted by the committee on agricultural laws should be made public. State that the report was submitted by the committee only in March 2021. Now Anil Ghanwat has said that he is deeply saddened that the issue of farmers has not yet been resolved and the agitation is going on.

It may be mentioned that petitions were also filed in the apex court by farmers agitating against agricultural laws brought by the central government. The Supreme Court had then constituted a three-member committee and asked it to submit a report on agricultural laws. Anil Ghanwat of the agricultural organization was a member of the same committee. Anil Ghanwat says it is sad that the report has not been taken care of by the apex court, which is why the controversy has not been resolved.

State that the Committee was constituted by the Supreme Court on January 12, 2021. The committee was to submit a report within two months, during which time all aspects of agricultural law were to be spoken to. However, it's been a long time since that report.
