Ujjain: In Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh, Mahakal's Prasad Laddu is special. The laddu has been given a five-star hygiene rating. Up to 50 quintals of laddus are prepared daily. The first temple in India to get a five-star rating in Mahakal temple hygiene has not just been made. For this, more than 50 people work continuously for 10 hours. From making laddus to packing, they also take special care of cleanliness. 

The same food safety officer Basant Dutt Sharma says, about Rs 260 is spent to prepare one kg of laddus. At this price, we provide laddu prasad to the devotees. In this, we do not earn any kind of profit nor bear any kind of loss. The laddus are prepared near the Chintaman Ganesh temple, about 7 km from the Mahakal temple. There are two air cutters installed at the entry gate.

That is why 90 percent of the flies and other insects remain outside. There are inject light killers inside the entry gate so that the fly-mosquito that has somehow come in can be eliminated here. Rate killer pads have been kept to catch the rats. It is cleaned with a constant sweep. Every employee puts a mask and a cap on his head. Not only that, not any employee is allowed inside without checking the body temperature.
