Jaipur: For the first time in the country, a camel-riding women contingent of the Border Security Force (BSF) will take part in the parade at Rajpath along with a male camel squad for the first time in the upcoming Republic Day parade. This BSF Women Camel Competition has been prepared by the Training Center of Rajasthan Frontier and Bikaner Sector. This is the world's first female camel rider squad.  

The dress design of the women's camel rider squad is also said to be amazing and special. It has been specially designed by renowned designer Raghavendra Rathore. This women camel riding squad of BSF with attractive and glamorous majestic attire is going to participate in the upcoming Republic Day parade to be held in New Delhi on January 26 for the first time. More than 20 women BSF personnel are going to board this women's camel squad. Significantly, this women's camel squad has also participated in the Raising Day Parade of BSF held in Amritsar for the first time recently. These days, its contestants are rehearsing in collaboration with the men's contestants at Rajpath.  

The women soldier's uniform made by designer Raghvendra Rathore also represents many precious craft forms of India, which are crafted in many parts of the country. They are also being assembled in-house at Raghavendra Rathore Jodhpur Studio. The design of the women's assault uniform for the BSF Camel Contingent brand has also incorporated ancient and cultural elements of Rajasthan's history. While making costumes for BSF women, the functionality, as well as the privilege and respect of wearing the uniform of the national forces, are reflected. It has also been presented with a great view with Jodhpuri closed throat style.  

The fabric, which is hand-crafted for various trims of Banaras, has been made in the 400-year-old Dunka technique. The uniform is styled with an attractive pugh turban. A turban, inspired by the heritage path of the Mewar area of Rajasthan. Pugh is an essential element of the cultural attire of the people of Rajasthan. In Mewar, it is worn and tied and is said to be a symbol of one's prestige and respect.

The camel of BSF personnel is also an integral companion in the contrasting geographical conditions along the sandy terrain of Rajasthan and Gujarat. BSF's well-known camel squad is also giving its enchanting performance on Republic Day Parade and BSF's Raising Day Parade in Delhi every year. This process started in 1976 and is still going on today.
