New Delhi: Delhi Police on Saturday issued traffic guidelines ahead of the Republic Day parade exercise. According to the guidelines, the Republic Day Parade 2022 will be held at Rajpath from Vijaychowk to India Gate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Due to this, traffic will be restricted from 9 am to 12 am on Rajpath-Rafi Marg, Rajpath-Janpath, Rajpath-Man Singh Road and Rajpath-C-Hexagon. Rajpath will remain closed from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. The same parade will be held from Vijay Chowk to C-Hexagon at Rajpath. As per the guidelines, the traffic route will be changed in view of the exercise. People have been urged to follow traffic rules, road discipline and instructions of traffic police personnel deployed at all intersections.

Traffic police have suggested people use Lajpat Rai Marg-Mathura Road-Bhairon Road-Ring Road instead of Ring Road (Ashram Chowk-Saraikale Khan-IP Flyover-Rajghat) to move from north to south and north. In addition, it has also been suggested to use Arvind Marg-Safdarjung Road-Kamal Atakurk Marg-Kautilya Marg- Sardar Patel Marg-Mother Teresa Crescent-AML-Baba Khadak Singh Marg, Prithvi Road-Rajesh Pilot Marg-Subramanian Bharati Marg-Mathura Road-Bhainro Road-Ring, Barfkhan-Azad Market-Rani Jhansi Flyover-Panchkuinya Road- Hanuman Murti-Vande Mataram Marg-Dhaula Kuan.

Similarly, to go from east to west and from west to east, people have to go Ring Road - Bhairon Road - Mathura Road - Subramaniam Bharti Marg - Rajesh Pilot Marg - Prithvi Raj Road - Safardarjung Road - Kamal Attarkuk Marg - Panjsheel Marg - Semyon Bolivar Marg - Overhead. It has been advised to use Ridgeroad - Vande Mataram road etc.
