Mumbai: Curfew-like restrictions will be in force in the country's financial capital Mumbai till January 2, the police have also announced it. The Mumbai Police has imposed Section 144 to prevent any disruption in public order and prohibited the gathering of five or more people. Along with this, weapons have also been banned from December 4 to January 2. During this time, sloganeering and any kind of demonstration in public places will also be banned.

According to the report, there will be a ban on playing loudspeakers, instruments, and bands as well as bursting crackers in Mumbai till January 2. Along with this, marriage ceremonies, funeral meetings, processions on the way to graveyards, and big meetings of companies, clubs, cooperative societies, and other organizations will not be allowed. At the same time, gatherings of people around courts, government offices, and local bodies will be completely banned. Along with this, meetings in schools and colleges, and other educational institutions have also been banned.

According to the report, sloganeering and protests in public places will be banned. Playing loud songs has also been banned. A press release issued by the Mumbai Police said that strict action will be taken against those violating the orders.
