In a tweet on Friday, CM Kamal Nath wrote, "Our religious Kavad Yatra originates in different parts of the state during the month of Sawan. The administration in the state should make all arrangements for the safety of the Kawar Yatris. The entry of heavy vehicles on the travel route during the day should be restricted and all other necessary arrangements should be made so that passengers do not suffer in any way."

In addition to the places of Shivalayas Maheshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Pashupatinath, Onkareshwar etc., Kanwar Yatras are taken out to the local major temples during the month of Sawan. Over the years, in many places, the Kanwaris have been subjected to load carrier vehicles. In view of this, CM Kamal Nath has restricted the movement of load carrier vehicles during the day time.
