The Ivanovo region finds new partners in India. For the 27th time, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum brought together leaders of the largest Russian and foreign companies, representatives of government agencies, the political and scientific community in order to establish business contacts, find new partners, discuss promising projects, and exchange views on current trends in politics and economics in global and regional markets.

The prestige of the Forum as one of the most significant business events in the world continues to grow steadily. The forum is becoming more and more applied and dynamic: decisions are quickly made, based on the results of discussions, new projects are actually launched and practical solutions are formed.

Despite the sanctions, a record number of participants attended the Forum in 2024, which exceeded similar figures in recent years. Guests and participants of the event gathered to discuss international trade and cooperation, sales markets, technology leadership and investment.

Participated in the events more than 120 high-ranking foreign officials persons: heads of international organizations and associations, foreign ministers, heads of diplomatic missions, heads of foreign cities and regions. The largest delegations came from China – 192 participants, UAE – 105, Zimbabwe – 86, Kazakhstan – 84, India – 80, Oman – 75.

From the Russian side, the Forum was attended by: 40 high-ranking officials, 30 heads of federal services and agencies and 81 heads of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

More than 8,300 representatives of Russian and foreign business took part in the Forum. Foreign business was represented at the Forum by more than 480 companies from 94 countries and territories, Russian business by over 3,300 companies.

As part of the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Indian ChampionsInfratechPVTLtd. ​and the Agency for Attracting Investments to the Ivanovo Region . The parties agreed to closely cooperate in research projects, as well as investments in textile production in the Ivanovo region.
